Our owners/trainers are a distinguished professionals who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the court. Having excelled as successful college players, they possess a deep understanding of the game and its demands. Their journey extends beyond the collegiate level, with experience in coaching and training at various levels, as well as having competing at the professional level. This unique blend of playing and coaching enables them to provide tailored training that foster skill development, strategic understanding, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in basketball.

At Wright Way Basketball, our mission is to empower athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the court. We believe in cultivating not just skilled players, but well-rounded individuals who embody the principles of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Our training is designed to challenge players, helping them to improve their game while instilling a love for the sport.
We take pride in being mentors for our athletes and their families, offering guidance and support every step of the way. Our team of experienced coaches is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where players can flourish. Meet our trainers
SHamar Wright
Shamar is Wright Way Basketball’s co-head trainer. This April, Shamar finished playing his professional rookie season in Tbilisi, Georgia. He averaged 19 points and 5 rebounds for Kavkasia. Shamar finished his collegiate career at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as the all-time leader in games played. He finished as the Division 1 leader in scoring (1,251), rebounds (648), and steals (177). Shamar was one of three players with at least 1,000 points and 600 rebounds.
emma Wright
Emma is Wright Way Basketball’s co-head trainer. Emma coached at University of Southern Indiana for two seasons after finishing her playing career. She helped lead USI to Ohio Valley Conference regular season and tournament championship titles. During her playing career, Emma helped lead her team to a Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season title and was a three-time All-GLVC honoree. She finished her career all-time leader in games played while scoring 1,189 points.
